Welcome to the website of Rochdale Phoenix Opera Society. For over thirty years Phoenix has been staging amateur productions of grand and light operas. We perform a three-year cycle of light opera, grand opera, and Gilbert and Sullivan.

Recent Productions

In 2009 we staged the double bill of Pietro Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana and Ruggero Leoncavallo's I Pagliacci – ‘Cav and Pag’ as they are affectionately known.
In 2010 we performed Orpheus in the Underworld, probably Offenbach’s best-know Operetta.
